The San Joaquin River Conservancy is currently in the process of adopting new regulations.
Timeline:
October 18, 2024 45-day Notice of Proposed Rulemaking Regulations was published by the Office of Administrative Law.
December 4, 2024 Public Hearing for San Joaquin River Conservancy Proposed Regulations.
February 11, 2025 – May 14, 2025 Additional tribal consultation performed.
May 30, 2025, Notice of Modifications and modified Proposed Regulations posted online and distributed to parties who made oral or written comments. 15-day comment period begins.
June 16, 2025 15-day comment period ends.
September 12, 2025 Addendum to Proposed Regulations posted online and distributed. 15-day comment period begins.
October 20, 2025 Proposed Regulations and rulemaking package submitted to the Office of Administrative Law.
December 4, 2025 OAL approves this regulatory action pursuant to section 11349.3 of the Government Code. This regulatory action becomes effective on April 1, 2026.
